Ashley is a Stockton local and comes from a long background in aquatics, having swam and played water polo for Saint Mary’s High School and Stockton Water Polo Club (now known as Big Valley Water Polo Academy). She then continued her Water Polo career at University of the Pacific while earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources & Management from the Eberhardt School of Business. She was a lifeguard and swim instructor during her time at Pacific, and it was there she discovered her passion for coaching youth. During her time at Pacific and after graduation, she went on to coach Junior Varsity Girls Water Polo at Saint Mary’s High School as well as various age groups for Big Valley Water Polo through the Fall of 2017. During this time she also served as Assistant Pool Manager at University of the Pacific.
Ashley has been with Woodbridge for more than six years. She began in the Food and Beverage Department as a banquet server, and in summer 2016 was named our Aquatics Director. As Aquatics Director, she managed a team of 12 lifeguards and swim instructors as well as coached our Woodbridge Sharks swim team. At the conclusion of that summer, she returned to Food and Beverage briefly and then took on the role of Receptionist. That role lasted a short time before the decision was made to move Ashley into the Pro Shop. She was in the Pro Shop from November 2016 – November 2018 in an administrative and merchandising role. She has been our Sports Director since late 2018 & assisted management in the planning, designing, & purchasing equipment for the Fitness Center. This role has allowed her to return to her aquatics roots during the summer and spend additional time at the pool while also utilizing her business background managing the Sports Complex.
