Coronavirus Update – February 2021

Feeling Sick? Please stay home!

At Woodbridge Golf & Country Club, the health and safety of our members and staff are our highest priorities. We appreciate the support and flexibility of all of our members as we adjust to doing things a little differently to protect one another and work together to keep our Club safe.

Woodbridge and all of San Joaquin County is in the state’s Purple — Widespread Infection — Tier. Here’s what that means.

With the state releasing the stay-at-home orders and returning to the county color system last month, we have had many members asking when the Club will be reopening amenities and facilities.

For clarification, the Club is following the state’s guidelines and will not reopen amenities until we are allowed to within these guidelines. Please understand, you will see businesses in our community and nearby areas following their own interpretation of the mandates, or even disregarding them entirely. The Club’s administration and the Board of Directors has determined it’s in the best interest of the Club’s viability, the safety of staff and members, as well as simply being a good neighbor and not contributing to the spread of covid-19 and its derivatives, to follow official protocols.

Keeping in mind that Woodbridge Golf & Country Club is a not-for-profit entity and 100% of its operations and expenditures rely on membership dues, risking a health code violation and resulting fine would most likely equate to an added burden on the Club’s members. This is not an expense we are interested in pursuing at this time.

Here are the protocols for counties in the Purple — Widespread — Tier, which includes all of San Joaquin County:

Gyms and fitness centers
Can open outdoors only with modifications

Outdoor recreation
Can open with modifications
Both Golf and Tennis have been identified as low risk sports that can resume within the Widespread Purple Tier.

Restaurants (dine-in)
Can open outdoors only with modifications

Swimming pools
Can open outdoors with modifications.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support.
