IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19
In response to the order by Governor Newsom tonight, and to protect the health of our membership and employees, the Board has enacted the following list of changes and closures for the immediate future:
1. In General
a. Any member, or essential employee who plans to come on Club property, that is not feeling well, or has been around others who are not feeling well, is required to stay home. If you are experiencing symptoms of the virus, you will need test results indicating you are not infected with the virus, to return to the Club.
b. If you, or someone you have had contact with, contracts the COVID- 19, please do not come to the Club for at least 14 days.
c. If anyone has recently traveled outside the country or to high risk areas within the country, please do not come to the Club for at least 14 days.
d. Anyone in a high-risk group (i.e. over 65; or with underlying medical problems such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, lung disease; as well as those with a compromised immune system) should be extra cautious and avoid contact with large groups.
e. Avoid congregating in groups larger than 10.
f. The membership is advised to bring their own drinking water as the communal water dispensers on property have been removed or turned off until further notice.
2. Golf Course
a. The Course will remain open but will be unsupervised, meaning the Pro Shop will be closed. We ask that you do not bring guests with you if you play.
b. The range and practice area will be closed.
c. We will be putting out carts in the morning for member use, but there will not be cart staff present to help you with your golf bag. Please return the cart to the cart staging area after play. Only 1 passenger per cart is permitted unless utilizing a personal golf cart with a family member passenger from the same household. Cart staff will put away the carts at night, but please throw away any trash or items for them, especially tissues or beverage containers. The cart staff is required to wear gloves and will be sanitizing the carts each night so they will be safe to use the next day.
d. Walking is encouraged instead of riding.
e. Do not remove the flagstick from the hole while playing.
f. Handle your own equipment and golf ball.
g. Bunker rakes have been removed. Please smooth out the bunker with your feet to be respectful to other members.
3. Golf Shop, Locker Rooms and Shoe Care service
a. The Pro Shop will be closed, but staff will be present from 8AM–5PM Tuesday–Sunday in case of emergency only. There will be no scheduled tee times, play is first come, first serve. Please be considerate and respect proper golf course etiquette at all times.
b. Locker rooms are available, but shoe service has been discontinued until further notice. We will have staff cleaning daily.
4. Tennis and Pool
a. The tennis courts and pool will remain open but unsupervised. Please throw away all trash and bring your own towels, tennis balls and other items needed.
5. Lessons, Clinics & Junior Classes
a. All individual and group lessons are cancelled until further notice.
b. All junior programs and classes are postponed until further notice. We will update the members on all junior programs at that time.
c. Juniors are still allowed to use the golf course and putting green with parental supervision.
6. Member Social & Golf events:
a. All Club and Committee meetings will be conducted via email or conference call until further notice.
b. All events, skins games and tournaments in March are cancelled.
c. As of now, Easter events are still scheduled to happen, but they could be cancelled depending on the severity of the outbreak. We will update the monthly event schedule on a weekly basis.
7. Food & Beverage
a. All food and beverage operations are closed. You may bring your own food and beverage but please limit your alcohol consumption and do not eat or drink from the same containers as others.
b. Please do not congregate with other members while on property; it is safer for all if you go home after you finish playing or swimming.
c. Take Out meals have been discontinued until further notice.
d. The Club is waiving the Food & Beverage minimums until further notice.
8. Outside Events, Tournaments & Member Outings
a. All Outside Events in March have been cancelled and most of April’s have also been cancelled. All deposits will apply to a future date. Those wishing not to postpone, will receive their full deposit back.
b. Outside Golf Tournaments are cancelled or postponed through April 7th.
9. Offices & Department Heads
a. The Club offices are open to members from 8am-5pm, but please restrict your visits to the office, if at all possible.
b. Drop your account payments just inside the office door in the box. Any cash payments must be presented directly to office personnel.
c. Department Heads and Event Management staff can be reached by email or phone; face to face appointments are in emergency only.
10. Dues and other Fees
a. At this point all regular dues and fees will remain in effect depending on the length of our closure.
Thank you in advance for your adherence to the temporary changes in hours of operation, closures and restrictions. Sensibility and taking the necessary precautions are in everyone’s interest and well-being. It is unfortunate that the disruption to our normal way of life here at the Club is necessary, but our priority is to the health and well-being of our members and employees.
