Ingredients
- 1 tsp dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp hot water
- 1 1/2 oz bourbon
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp apple butter
- ice
- Garnishments: orange peel & cinnamon
To Make
- Stir 1 tsp. dark brown sugar and 1 tsp. hot water in a cocktail shaker until sugar is dissolved.
- Let cool, then add 1½ oz. bourbon, ½ oz. fresh lemon juice, and 2 tsp. store-bought or homemade apple butter. Fill shaker with ice; cover and shake until outside of shaker is frosty, about 20 seconds. Strain cocktail into an ice-filled rocks glass.
- Garnish with an orange twist and sprinkle freshly grated or ground cinnamon
