Announcing the Tools for Success Business Speaker Series


You are the first to hear! Woodbridge Golf & Country Club is teaming up with the Lodi Chamber of Commerce to offer a free business speaker series, called Tools for Success!

Each month, we have lined up a business professional from our area, who will give a short talk and offer advice to new business owners, and up and coming entrepreneurs. Our first speaker is our own Ken Campbell, who will speak on What Makes a Good Entrepreneur, on Tuesday, May 9, at 8am at the Club. All are welcome to attend. Ken Campbell is a veteran entrepreneur with 40 years of experience in start-ups and C-level reorganization of technology and consumer companies.   For the past 10 years, Mr. Campbell has focused on returning value for investors and management as a co-founder / Partner in Kairos Analytics, LLC. Kairos is focused on C level mentoring and new technology distribution strategies with an emphasis on military and law enforcement markets.   Ken is also on the board of www.jpdfinancial.com (San Jose).

Early in his career, Mr. Campbell spent more than a decade within the automobile industry originally focused on the implementation of mini-computers into larger auto dealership chains.   He grew through various organizations in the industry culminating as General Manager of a multi-line GM franchise in New Mexico.

Moving to Silicon Valley in 1982, Campbell was a member of the start-up team of Businessland, Inc., a retailer of personal computers and services.  As Director of Store Sales and Operations he led the recruiting, major account sales and was named Employee of the Year by the CEO in 1985.  Businessland’s IPO was in 1983 on the NYSE and at the time the fastest company to reach $1B in revenue.

Campbell went on to co-found USX TeleCenters, reorganize CopyMat Corporation as COO before co-founding USWEB in 1995.   As EVP of Channel Sales / Operations, Campbell successfully built a national organization of web development agencies focused on the Fortune 2000 market.  USWEB’s public offering on the NASDAQ was in December 1997.   He continued in the web services and application integration industry by founding Centegy Corp in 1998, selected by Gartner Group as a top 35 E-Systems company.

Mr. Campbell has held other CEO positions with Dedicated Devices Inc. (Boise, ID.), WAGIC INC., EyeCom BioTech (Reno, NV).  From 1999 until March 2005, he served on the board of directors of RHDonnelley Corporation, the 3rd largest independent yellow pages company in the world (Now – NYSE:  DEXO).

Mr. Campbell studied Business Management at the University of Delaware, IBM Systems Enginering School, Reynolds & Reynolds SE Certification and various disciplines at the General Motors Dealer University, Toyota Dealer Certification and IBM PC Sales Certification, Xerox PSS and Wilson Learning Sales.  He volunteers at the Haas Business School, UC Berkeley, guest lecturer at Santa Clara University and San Jose State University.

Ken also played minor league baseball for a short time with the Philadelphia Phillies. He is also an avid golfer for 40 years and a drag racer for 50 years.
