A Sacramento-valley native, Kristine discovered her love of page layout, graphic design, photography and writing at Hiram Johnson High School in Sacramento while working on the school yearbook team. She worked on the college newspaper at Sacramento City College and worked her way up to News Editor for the State Hornet newspaper at California State University, Sacramento, while earning her Bachelor’s in Journalism. After college, she worked in the newspaper business as a journalist at the Rocklin Herald and the Roseville Press-Tribune, where she covered the visit of then-President Bill Clinton to the area and had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work alongside the national press pool. A few years later, she accepted the role of Assistant Marketing Director at Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann & Girard in Sacramento. It was in this role that she developed her passion for marketing. She also discovered her passion for wellness while working for nearly 10 years as the Managing Editor for Clinical Pearls, a health letter focused on educating medical professionals on the latest research on preventive care, nutrition, alternative therapies and integrative medicine.
Kristine took several years off from the corporate world to focus on raising her three children, Kaleb (21, about to graduate from Cal Poly SLO in Agricultural Science), Kayli (19, a BFA theater candidate at CSU Long Beach) and Sierra (17, a senior at Galt High School). But she didn’t settle for “just being” a stay-at-home mom, and instead used the precious spare time she had to learn web design, graphic design, and work as a freelance designer for small businesses in the area. Her passion for fitness and wellness also brought her to a 10-year teaching career with Jazzercise, where she taught up to 10 classes a week, owned her own a fitness studio in Elk Grove, and coached other instructors in the area.
Kristine’s professional, freelance and small business skills ultimately landed her at Woodbridge Golf & Country Club in 2014. First hired as the Events Director, she quickly moved into Member Relations, Communications and now the Membership & Marketing Director. She is a member of the Professional Club Marketing Association (PCMA) and recently earned dual certifications in Digital Marketing from the American Marketing Association (PCM) and the Digital Marketing Institute (CDMP). Her hobbies include photography, vegan cooking, yoga, reading, knitting and all things creative.
