Pool Rules

Swimming Pool Uses and Operation

The swimming pool opens each year by Memorial Day weekend for summer through Labor Day weekend.

The Aquatic staff has full authority to enforce all safety and sanitary measures deemed necessary for the proper operation of the pool. They are charged with the enforcement of all pool policies and rules. Please do not ask them to make exceptions to a rule for you as they do not have the authority to do so. All non-members using the pool facility must be guests of members. Members must register all guests with the lifeguards at check in. Guest fees will be charge for all adult and junior guests. Children under 14 are not permitted in the pool area without an adult when lifeguards are not present.

Pool Rules

  1. Swim attire is to be worn only in the pool area inside the gates – definitely not in, or around the clubhouse, fitness center, lawn behind fitness center, in the parking lot, on the golf course or on tennis courts.
  2. Cut offs, color t-shirts, undergarments of any kind, mesh and/or basketball shorts are prohibited in the facility.
  3. Horseplay actions such as running, diving, head-first entries, continuous jumping, or lifting others higher than waist high in the water are prohibited.
  4. A 10 minute swim safety break will occur every hour on the 50 minute mark. Children will be summoned out of the pool by the lifeguards by 1 long whistle. Adults may swim at their own risk at this time.
  5. Glass objects and metal toys are not permitted on the pool area.
  6. Flotation devices such as inner tubes, water rings, life jackets, etc. and various toys such as mermaid tails are not permitted on the diving board.
  7. Persons with an open wound, rash or infectious communicable disease will not be admitted into the pool. Anyone who has experienced a stomach or intestinal illness within the past two weeks should not enter the water.
  8. Only one person at a time is permitted on the diving board.
  9. Persons with fever, cold, skin, eye, nose or throat infections are not permitted to use the pool.
  10. Children who are not toilet trained are required to wear swim diapers beneath swim suits.
  11. No food, beverages, or gum should be consumed while in the pool.
  12. The use of inappropriate or foul language anywhere within the facility is prohibited.
  13. Do not talk to guards while on the stand. All members and guest must obey management and the lifeguards.
  14. No animals or pets of any kind are permitted in the facility.
  15. Diving in shallow areas is not permitted.
  16. Lap lanes are for lap swimmers or swim lessons only. Patrons may not hang on the lane lines.
  17. Children ages 14 or younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  18. Violation of these rules may result in withdrawal of pool privileges at the club.
  19. In the case of emergency, the lifeguards will blow 3 short whistles before entering the water.

The lifeguards and staff on duty reserves the right to enforce other rules which may not be listed to maintain a safe and healthy aquatic environment. They have the authority to enforce or modify rules at their discretion.
